I'm going abroad and will be using my Debit Card, how can I prepare via the Barclays app?
You can turn on - 'In-store international spending' which lets us know that you expect to be spending in Supermarkets, restaurants and bars, retail outlets, etc.
From your Barclays app 'Home' screen:
- Tap 'Cards'
- Scroll up to view options
- Tap 'In-store international spending'
- Tap the toggle switch to turn 'In-store international spending' on
- 'In-store international spending' is now active
- Tap the toggle switch to turn this back off
Please note: Withdrawing cash, online payments, such as subscriptions, won't be affected by this being turned on or off.
