How do I make a payment to His Majesty's Revenue & Custom's (HMRC) - for amounts over £50,000 to £100,000
If you have registered for our text message service via your online banking, you will be able to complete the transfer by following the below steps:
- Please log in to Online Banking.
- Click Make Payment/Transfer (left, under Payments).
- Click downwards arrow (right of From and Select from account).
- Click on the account you’d like to make the payment or transfer from.
- Click in the circle left of Pay a bill or someone else in the UK, Jersey, Guernsey or Isle of Man (Sterling only).
- Click NEXT.
- Choose Pay a company.
- Type HMRC into the Company name field.
- Will you pay them again in future? Click in the box left of Save this recipient's details. Then type a nickname in the box right of Recipient nickname.
- Then type the recipient’s nickname and click SAVE if you do not wish to make a payment now, click NEXT to proceed to make a payment.
- Click FIND.
- Select the relevant HMRC account by matching the account name and your reference format.
- Click FIND.
- Type the amount you want to pay your recipient
- Type the payment reference.
- Choose when you’d like to pay by clicking on the arrow right of As soon as possible.
- Click NEXT.
- Check the details carefully, If you want to change anything, select BACK and make the changes on the previous screens.
- When you have checked all the details are correct, please enter your five-digit passcode in the box and select CONFIRM to make the payment.
