What does Deduct all charges from the payment mean?
This is when all the charges are deducted from the money you’re transferring.
So your recipient will receive less than the amount you specified.
Important
Since 1 January 2021, as the UK is no longer part of the EU/EEA we are now able to send international payments into the EU/EEA using all three charging options:
Remitter
You pay for ALL charges, i.e. Barclays charges, AND any recipient bank charges. Both charges will be debited from your account in addition to the amount you request us to send.
Split / Shared
You pay Barclays charges (which will be debited to your account along with the principle payment amount) and the recipient / beneficiary pays the recipient bank’s charges. (This amount will be deducted from the amount sent before crediting the final beneficiary account)
Deduct All
The recipient / beneficiary pays all the charges, i.e. Barclay’s charges and the recipient’s bank charges will be deducted from the payment amount.
