How can I make a Bill Payment on Online Banking?
You can self-serve via Online Banking by following the below steps:
From the Online Banking 'Home' screen:
- Click 'Pay'
- Select the account you would like to make the payment from
- Select 'Search verified businesses'
- Start to search for the business you wish to pay
- As you scroll down select the payee you wish to pay, be careful to ensure the 'Reference' format matches any references you have
- Once you have selected your payee click 'Continue'
- Alternatively, if you can't find the business you are looking to pay you can click 'Pay someone new'. Once you have selected 'Business', type in the details of the business you wish to pay, you'll then be provided with a number of suggestions based on the details you have typed in. As you scroll down select the payee you wish to pay, be careful to ensure the 'Reference' format matches any reference you have. Once you have selected your payee click 'Continue
- Type in the amount you wish to pay
- Select when you would like to make the payment, for the benefit of this example we'll select 'Now'
- Carefully type in the reference in the selected format, it's important to provide the correcct reference so the business knows why you have sent them money
- Select if you wish to save the payee details for next time, then click 'Continue'
- Scroll down and carefully check your details
- Carefully read and follow the instructions to use mobile PINsentry or you PINsentry device to authorise the payment
- Type in the 8 digit code shown on your PINsentry, then click 'Confirm'
- If you wish you can click 'Download' or 'Print' to see your receipt details
- Your payment has now been completed. Click 'Back to my accounts' to return to your online banking homepage
