What is the 'Barclays job offer' email scam that I've been made aware of?
As part of this scam, you are invited either by email or website to apply for a job at ‘THE NEW BARCLAYS NIGERIA BANK PLC’ branch.
Once you have provided personal details, you’ll be told your application was successful. However, before your employment can start, you must pay an advanced fee in lieu of your starting date.
No job will be forthcoming and your money will not be returned.
Please note: Barclays currently only has one Nigerian office which is based in Lagos. We are in no way associated with ‘THE NEW BARCLAYS NIGERIA BANK PLC’ or its bogus offer of employment. Please delete any communication immediately and ignore all requests made of you
